Growing up in the rugged wilderness of Northern Ontario, I learned early on that the outdoors isn’t just a place—it’s a way of life. My passion for adventure began at age six, when my dad took me on my first canoe trip. From there, summers were spent camping for weeks at a time, immersed in the beauty of nature.

Over the years, I’ve turned that passion into expertise. For more than a decade, I operated a canoe, boat outfitting, and overnight ice fishing business in Northeastern Alberta, helping others experience the thrill of the wild. As an avid hunter, angler, and hiker, I’ve tested gear in some of the most challenging conditions, learning what works—and what doesn’t.

Now, I’m passing on that love for the outdoors to my two young boys, teaching them the skills and respect needed to thrive in nature. Through this blog, I share honest, in-depth reviews of outdoor products to help you make informed decisions and get the most out of your adventures.
